Garden's Gifts

My garden is producing beautifully at the moment and here is an example of the daily offerings at present. I am lucky enough to have wild asparagus growing all through my orchard, that provides many decent feeds over spring. My broad beans have begun producing and it will be only a matter of a week or two before my peas are ready.  The garlic and shallots are growing like crazy as is the capsicum, potatoes and lettuce.  The chooks are giving me a regular supply of eggs so a meal quite often is asparagus and poached eggs, or egg and bacon pie.  Today I planted tomatoes so hopefully they will be ready in time for Xmas salads.
